about

The duo Push-button Pleasure comprise multi-instrumentalists Terry Burrows and Mark Beaumont. They graduated from the 1980s bedroom cassette scene to produce two highly regarded vinyl LPs, of which The Last Dissonance was the second. Burrows would later assume the monicker Yukio Yung under which guise he fronted 1990s international cult psychedelic pop favourites, the Chrysanthemums. He would go onto record albums with lo-fi pioneer R. Stevie Moore and industrial legend Asmus Tietchens. He would later become a prolific, million-selling author. He continues to record and perform, largely in the experimental music field, as a solo artist or as part of the noise/drone trio Tonesucker. Beaumont assumed the identity of Melvyn Z. Pad, and recorded one heavily praised electropop album as Enski Boski as well as ambient electronica under the name Berbel Nobodius.

"The sounds are often sublime … the music is roving, like a moth in an underpass, flickering across shady tableaux of something invigorating … this is an album to drift off to". Mick Mercer, Melody Maker

NOTE TO LISTENERS IN THE UNITED STATES.
Sadly, posting a single vinyl LP from the UK to the US is stupidly expensive once it's been safely packaged in thick card. There's nothing we can do about this. If you are planning to place a large order, though, contact us first and we might be able to sort out some discount.
